Medium temperature furnace rangeM - range to 1200°C
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:M Furnaces have an inner "heat box" surrounded by an air gap set in a steel outer casing. A vacuum formed, hardened, ceramic fibre shape forms the furnace door surround. A wear-resistant tile forms the sill. The furnace work chamber consists of a muffle of hard wearing sillimanite onto which high quality spiralled wire elements are carefully positioned to produce a uniform hot zone. The M9 furnace chamber (also M7 & M8 on request) is constructed from slab sections with elements embedded in them. The chamber is surrounded with lightweight insulation for maximum efficiency in typical laboratory usage. A sheathed thermocouple within the chamber gives accurate temperature sensing. The full width "up and over" door allows obstruction-free access. The door is counter balanced and below is a full width, stainless steel work shelf. The controls are beneath the chamber and consist of a green illuminating push button on/off switch, an orange "load on" neon, and a red thermal fuse warning neon. PID solid state, fully automatic temperature controllers are fitted, incorporating thermocouple break protection as standard. A choice of PID digital controllers with digital setting and readout are offered. A door safety switch is fitted to all models. Various optional extras are available.
